From Cape Town we build web apps, mobile apps, and the automation that connects them — for teams who need the thing working, not demoed.
Most jobs start as one of these and turn into two of them. Every one is scoped and priced individually, and the quote is fixed in writing before anything begins.
Typically 2–6 weeks
AI automation means putting a model inside a workflow your business already runs — scoring a lead, reading a document, drafting a reply — so a step that used to take a person twenty minutes takes nobody any minutes. It is integration work first and AI work second, and it fails when people get that order backwards.
What this looks like in practiceTypically 2–6 weeks
Web development here means one of two things: a marketing site your team can update and search engines can read, or a web application with accounts, data, and logic behind it. The first is measured in enquiries. The second is measured in whether it holds up when real people use it.
What this looks like in practiceTypically 6–12 weeks
App development covers everything between an idea with wireframes and a product live in both stores: authentication, data, payments, notifications, review submission, and the unglamorous edge cases that decide whether people keep the app installed.
What this looks like in practiceTypically Days to ongoing
Technical consulting is help making the expensive decisions: what to build, what to buy, which quote is realistic, and whether the AI project someone is pitching you will survive contact with your actual data. It is advice from someone who still builds, which is a different thing from advice from someone who only advises.
What this looks like in practiceBuilt with Next.js, Flutter, Supabase, n8n, and whatever your team already runs. The full stack is on the about page.

2026
A free, prize-backed survivor football platform rebuilt so the game engine never knows which competition it is running.

2026
A German-language marketing site for an EV charging infrastructure company, built to convert two very different audiences.

2026
A repeatable AI video pipeline for a photoreal CGI mascot, built so the character never drifts between clips.
Small enough to answer the phone. Experienced enough that you are not paying for someone to learn on your project.
Four steps, no surprises. The part most people care about is the third one: you can see progress every week rather than waiting to find out at the end.
01 · 30 min
Thirty minutes on what you are trying to solve. If we are not the right fit for it, you will hear that on the call rather than in a polite email a week later.
02 · 1–2 days
A written proposal with fixed scope, a real timeline, and a price. No line items that resolve to "TBC".
03 · 2–12 weeks
Weekly sprints, a shared board you can see at any time, and a Loom walkthrough at the end of each week. You always know what changed and why.
04 · 14–30 days
Launch, documentation, and access in your name — not mine. Plus a support window for the bugs that only surface once real users arrive.
The things people ask on the first call, answered here so you do not have to book one to find out.
Cuyco is a software company based in Cape Town, South Africa, founded by Ross Cuyler. You deal with the people doing the build — there is no account manager between you and the work. The team on each project is sized to the job, with specialists in design and backend brought in when a project calls for it.
Every project is quoted individually, because a five-page site and a secure document platform should not share a price list. Tell us what you are trying to build and you will get a written scope, a timeline, and a fixed price within two business days — before any work starts.
Websites take two to four weeks. AI automation workflows take two to six weeks. Mobile apps take six to twelve weeks. The timeline is set in the proposal and progress is visible weekly, so slippage is something you find out about immediately rather than at the end.
Yes. Current and past clients are in South Africa, the Netherlands, and the UK. Everything runs remotely over video and async updates, and invoices can be issued in ZAR, USD, GBP, or EUR.
50% deposit to begin, 50% on delivery or launch day. Retainers are billed monthly in advance. Hourly work is invoiced on completion.
You do. Repositories, hosting, domains, and third-party accounts are set up in your name or transferred to it at handover, along with documentation. Holding a client hostage through account ownership is a business model, not a service.
Yes, either on a monthly retainer for continuous work or ad-hoc at an hourly rate for occasional needs. Every project also includes a 14 to 30 day support window for post-launch fixes at no extra cost.
Thirty minutes on a call is usually enough to work out whether this is a two-week job, a two-month job, or something you should not build at all. You get a written scope and a fixed price before anything starts.
